Volunteers

The presence of volunteers and the assistance they provide is greatly appreciated and valued at Syble Hopp School.

Volunteers are needed during the course of the school year to assist with the Parent Organization. At times, teachers may also request volunteer assistance for a particular event.

All volunteers must complete the following forms prior to volunteering:

    • Volunteer Form
    • Background Check - College students will be asked to have their background checks from the university sent to Syble Hopp prior to volunteering.
    • Confidentiality Agreement

2019 LIONS Camp Counselors

On May 20-24, 2019, many students and staff from Syble Hopp School will pack their bags and head to Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt for a fun week in the sun and lots of activities. We will be looking for 30 college students to help us out at the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin. There will be 140 students ages 9 to 21 with cognitive disabilities ranging from mild to severe. This is an excellent opportunity for “hands on” experience. Activities include swimming, hiking, fishing, boating, canoeing, cookouts, rock climbing, hay rides and more. Counselors will stay in heated/air conditioned cabins with 6-8 children with their teachers. Each cabin will have at least 1-2 counselors. All counselors will receive three meals a day, a bed, hot showers, and tons of love by our students.

Camp Counselor Application forms for 2019 will be posted below when they become available. Complete the two forms listed below - A 2010 Background Check form and a 2019 Camp Counselor Application form. US mail them to school or scan and email them to nkohls@syblehopp.org. Once these two forms are received and approved by administration, you will be emailed the additional forms that are needed.

2019 Camp SOAR Volunteers

Summer of Art and Recreation is three, two week sessions, offered to Syble Hopp School students at school. Students participate in activities that revolve around the arts and a variety of sport activities. Camp begins at 9:00am and ends at 2:45pm. Sessions run Monday through Thursday. The role of the Camp SOAR Volunteers is to assist the teacher is all activities. Volunteers interested in helping at Camp SOAR need to complete a Background Check, Confidentiality Agreement and a Camp SOAR Volunteer Application Form. Forms for 2019 will be posted below in the spring.
